About our Senior Pastor:
Bishop Oscar Lewis has been in ministry over twenty years; of those twenty years he has served as minister, whereby he worked as the church’s Business Administrator.
Bishop Lewis is married to (Diane) and has five children (Casey, Patrice, Mary, Timothy and Oscar Jr.), three grandsons (TravelleJr, Daniel and Christhopher) and a beautiful granddaughter (Zenaida). Bishiop Lewis attended the Church of God Ministerial Internship Seminary Program, graduated, and received his Ordination as Bishop in 1995. For the last six (6) years, Bishop Lewis has served in the capacity of Senior Pastor of Faith Deliverance Church of God. Bishop Lewis is a Master Pastor for the Churches of God M.I.P. (Ministers Internship Program). He is certified to train beginning pastors for pastoral-ship. Faith Deliverance Church of God has many ministries within the church and he serves as Founder of the Respite Care Ministries, which is designed to offer home companions to assist in the care of the elderly who are sick and/or shut-in. He is also instrumental in orchestrating the Food Ministry, which offers perishables as well as non-perishable items. Mr. Lewis served in the United State Air Force where he received his Bachelor degree at LaSalle University in 1975 and received his Master's Degree in Christian Ministry at Jacksonville Seminary College 2005.
Bishop Oscar Lewis has offered over ten years working with elementary, middle and high school students who were in some cases considered high risk. Bishop Lewis, Co-founder of New Beginnings Community Development Center began a youth weekend program in 1995 out of a need to introduce their children to other surroundings, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. This worked so well with their children until their friends got involved. Parents, neighbors and friends approached Bishop Lewis because of the good he was doing in the community. As a result of being incorporated, Mr. Lewis went a step further and applied for the educational institution known as the Riviera Beach Academy Charter School, where he serves as Principal. Bishop Lewis currently serves as District overseer of the South Palm Beach District, West Palm Beach, Florida.
